To see God's Kingdom come, we need to know His kingdom values, His kingdom plan.
So over the next few posts I'm going to be looking into the core of God's plan for His kingdom and then look at how we can live it out.
To know God's kingdom plan, we need to know the gospel, this is God's plan of salvation to bring people into His kingdom.
Romans 5 says this
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
The gospel is God's glorious salvation plan, through Christ's death He brings us life, brings us into God's kingdom.
God's kingdom is His people, gathered in His place, under His loving rule. This mirrors the promises made to Abraham which are fulfilled in Jesus; God promised Abraham that his descendants would numbered the stars, that all would be blessed through him, and a land promised to dwell with God.
As people who dwell in God's kingdom we must share the good news of Christ, the mission we have been given.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit."
Our commission is to go and bring people into the kingdom for Jesus.
How do I share the gospel?
live it: Show people in the gospel in how you hold yourself, how you open your home and the way you conduct yourself.
speak it: your words should demonstrate your difference from the world, build people up and speak Christ
share it: Tell people that Jesus died for them to fix their relationship with God, let this overflow from you with joy into the world.
Be bold, step out for Jesus, and celebrate that God's kingdom is coming!
