Mental Health Top Tips

It's really easy to neglect our mental health and put a lot down to lockdown. But here are a few top tips of mine to help with keeping on track.

  1. Check in with yourself regularly: Is this a normal feeling for everyone? You might have got used to feeling a certain way and assuming it's the same for everyone. Just check in and be gentle with yourself.

  2. Be realistic: It's really easy to be over-ambitious with your achievements in the day, especially spending so much more time at home. But remember that it's not always as easy as it seems.

  3. Stop: take time to do nothing. Leave pauses in the day to enjoy the moment, smell the flowers, be mindful of what is going on around you. Find peace.

  4. Ask for help: You cannot go through this alone, and you shouldn't be expected to. Reach out and ask for help, you're not the only one and others can help you.

  5. Pray: ultimately your heavenly Father has you in His hands. Commit all things to Him. Nothing is too big or too small.
