Preparing

I've been reading through the book of Joshua, and I find the first half of chapter one so exciting. Joshua gets exclusive access to talk to God one on one, which very few people in the old testament get to do, and God uses this time to prepare Joshua for the things that are yet to come in the rest of the book.

Yet, we are privileged to be the have full blown continuous access to speak to the awesome God who personally saved each and every one of us in His Kingdom. But how are we using this amazing chance to talk to the creator? Are you using this to prepare yourself for what God is using you for?

Have a read of the passage below:

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

God tells Joshua to know His word, meditate on it day and night to know God's will. How are you preparing to know God's word? How are you meditating on it day and night?

This week challenge yourself to dwell deeply in God's word each day and learn about God's heart.
